What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy is more than just treatment. It's transformation.

Physical Therapy is a healthcare profession led by highly trained Doctors of Physical Therapy (DPTs) who are extensively educated in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of conditions.

 

These range from acute injuries like ankle sprains and muscle strains to more complex and persistent issues such as ACL injuries, sciatica, arthritis, and more.

If your past experience with Physical Therapy consisted mostly of passive treatments, like electrical stimulation, heat or ice therapy, and massage, you’re not alone. While those tools can play a small role in recovery, they are only a fraction of what modern Physical Therapy truly offers.
